Think Eco on Your Planned Purchases

Do Some DIY

Some DIY projects are great ways to make your home greener and save some money. You might want to do something fairly small, like building a compost box or bin.

Some people might feel confident enough to tackle something like insulating their attic or roof space. It depends on what skills you have and how capable you feel you are in the DIY department. A lot of small projects are easy for just about anyone to try.

A common phrase heard in our house is “put more layers on if you’re cold!” My mom is the queen I guess you could say of putting off turning on the heat in the winter for as long as possible. This past winter I decided for once in my life 😉 to listen to her and think more about what these simple choices are doing to the eco system. I bet that if we look into our childhoods, our parents were directing us in the right direction this whole time … now it’s our time to follow!
