3 SIGNS YOU ARE IN THE WRONG CAREER

A career can be defined as the progress and actions taken by a person throughout a lifetime. We’ve all dreamt of becoming doctors when were young but changed our decisions along the way. This is because, as we grow our preferences and interests change.

In this 21st Century, people do not choose their career based on what they are good at or what they studied in college. But rather, based on the earns meet they are going to make or the situation that drives them at that moment, which can be unemployment.

This has been the problem of the youth for years now. When you take decisions due to your current situation without looking into the future, you will find yourself in a wrong career. When you do so, you are doomed for life, because they are actions taken a lifetime.

It’s not always easy to tell contrariety between a bad career and a bad position. When you are dispirited about your career, you know it. But you are not certain whether you need a new job or to amend your career path. When you find yourself in a wrong one, there are so many things that run through your mind. Have all the courses, internship and everything gone waste?

3 signs you are in the wrong career

To start here are 3 signs that shows you are in a wrong career;

You fantasize about resigning:

This is the first you look out for when you are depressed about your current job. If you spend more time daydreaming about a new job, and less time thinking about your actual job, this could be the push you need to make a change in your career.If there is always a thought that you would even be much elated when fired, it’s a clear indication that your career preference isn’t right for you. If there are one or more of these signs, it points to fact that you’re in the wrong career and you have to take measures to get out of it and go after what you desire.

You are less inventive at work:

You absolutely love the area that you’re in but your efforts do not add up. When you lack the zeal that drives you to work and are jaded more often, you tend to be less effective. This will always print in your head that you are not adding up to the growth of the business you find yourself in and so shall it be.

You don’t get the results you wished for but your colleagues do. You become so stressed about your work and you find it less important to worry yourself about it anymore. Sometimes for people to function in a certain work very well, they need career experts to help them improve on their performance. If this doesn’t make a change, then you are definitely in the wrong career.

You spend much of your working hours wishing you had much time for your hobbies and personal projects:

No matter what you think your priorities are, what you actually spend time doing is what you’re choosing to make a priority in your life. So if  you love to spend much of your working hours doing stuff which are more personal, it’s a sign that shows you are in a career that’s not personally satisfying.

When you find yourself in this, you become exhausted each time you go to work then there’s no doubt your career preference isn’t helping. Choose a job you love but not for the current situation you find yourself in. Our current problems will always demand a quick solution but any step you take now, determines the future. Always think about the future, be strong in your decisions and the things that drive you; they are things you are capable of doing the best.

    I love my job, but I still fit to point numer 3. Generally, everytime I’m at work I’m thinking I have so little time for my interests. But if I have more time than necessary I always waste it, usually being lazy. But you are right, the moment you only dream about quitting during your work hours is the exact time you should quit.

      Yeah, I get your point. Sometimes, we get so much invested in our jobs that we don’t even make time for other things.
